Tax Reminder: Your 2025 first quarter estimated tax payment is due in one week.
You’ve got a week to send in those tax dollars. If you know what you need to pay and have the dollars in hand and can pay electronically, pop over https://www.irs.gov/payments and schedule the payment now. (Same goes for state and local estimated taxes if those apply to you.)
If you’re not sure how much you need to pay or how much you can pay, you’ve got a week to figure that out. If you don’t have time this week to figure it out, then cancel something to make time. There’s no extension on estimated tax deadlines.
If you have a tax advisor, and you are planning on paying a different amount than they told you to, please get in touch with them to chat about it. Yes, they want to know about it even though they, like you, are kind of mad that the first quarter estimated tax deadline and the 1040 filing deadline are the same.
I'll remind you again on the 14th*,

*CPA Nag treats all deadlines that occur on the 15th or the following Washington DC business day as if they fall on the 15th. The added complexity of keeping track of weekends and holidays is not, in our opinion, worth spending your energy on.
